BIM Life: Janice Lim Hing

Since joining Balance In Motion in November 2014 Janice has been a fixture at the BIM studio. Her drive, determination and positive go-getter attitude is contagious and something all of us at BIM are continually inspired by. To say that we’re proud of her, and how far she has come would be an understatement.

The mother of two beautiful daughters, (age 4 & 6) like many Janice struggled to find the time and energy needed to take care of herself and workout. But you would never know that now. In the time that she has been with us, Janice has been making time for herself—steadily working toward her goal to lose weight and become healthier inside and out.

The winner of our first Weight Loss Challenge, Janice lost an incredible 15 pounds in 4-weeks; which is no small feat. Janice’s commitment to her health and fitness goals is something that we can all learn from. She is the epitome of the BIM mantra, ‘Go Beyond Better,’ and we feel so lucky to have been a part of her journey.

BIM-Transformation-JANICE

(Balance In Motion) has changed my life in many ways. I feel physically stronger, both in actual strength and motion, and have more energy. I also feel accomplished and now know that I can achieve whatever goals that I set for myself; which positively affects my life in areas even outside the gym.

Two of the biggest benefits of training with BIM have been the increased energy and focus, (my workout’s have given me) and their encouraging trainers – who believe in you and treat you like a real person. They also know their stuff.

Prior to joining Balance In Motion my biggest pain-points where getting to the gym, budget and making time for myself. The BIM team has definitely given me the space and provided me with the encouragement so that I am able to make myself a priority. They have also given me a balanced, manageable program that keep me challenged, and motivate me to keep going.

There were a number of factors that lead me to my decision to join BIM—

  • The knowledge and expertise of the people that work there
  • The fact that their exercises are tailored to my body and what it needs
  • The staff and schedules are flexible and accommodating
  • Classes have variety and not too repetitive, and…
  • Its mostly fun, even on challenging days

There are a number of things that I like about training with BIM, but my top two would definitely be the knowledge that the trainers have and the fact that my body is worked on in a balanced way.

Since joining BIM I have referred them to many friends and family members. I always say that I prefer BIM to other gyms because of the staff’s knowledge, the individual programs that are created, the fact that it’s not too crazy, (like other gyms) and I feel like everyone is well respected regardless of their physical level. The programs are dynamic and facilitate daily movement, not just getting big muscles. They always provide support and encouragement, and the push necessary to achieve goals. Not to mention the facilities are well stalked with a good variety of equipment.

But most importantly, Balance In Motion provides me with the challenges that motivate me to keep going.
